Readers of "I Can Make You Thin"/"Intuitive Eating"

Call it Intuitive Eating, Overcoming Overeating, Diet Survivors, I Can Make You Thin--these great books all talk about rejecting the diet mentality, listening to our bodies, claiming pride and self-acceptance, and learning to live life free from the clutches of overeating, restriction, or chronic dieting. Giving up fear and perfectionism is a one day at a time process, and I'm eager to create a supportive group of people to help one another along this road. Please let me know if you're interested, and once we have a few people, we can establish a regular meeting time and other activities. Please note: I am NOT a teacher or guide on this path, and I'm not selling or advocating any particular books or materials. I'm simply looking for some like-minded folks who are trying to stay body-centered and open in their approach to food, weight, eating disorders, body acceptance, etc.

We had a GREAT first meetup, and are looking forward to maintaining an ongoing group for regular talks and support. Please come out and join us, if you're at all inclined! We've already started sharing help and resources, and we'd love to share with you, as well!
